Faith & Reason

Pope St. John Paul II once wrote,

“Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth…”

There are many today who discount reason in the spiritual life and use sentimentality to explain away a belief in God. Fr. Augustine DeArmond, OP will share how they have it wrong and how they work together to lead us to the fullness of truth.

About Our Speaker…

Father Augustine DeArmond, OP,  comes from a small farming town where he first learned the values of community and family. From the time he was ten, when he served at Mass for the first time, he felt the call to the priesthood. As he grew in his vocation, he heard God calling him to religious life. He is a Member of the Order of Preachers (the Dominican Order), and currently, serves as the Pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church. This is his first time as a speaker at Theology on Tap. He enjoys literature as a hobby.
